While presumed GOP presidential nominee Senator John McCain of Arizona continues his “It’s Time for Action” tour, he has taken another swipe at Democratic co-frontrunner Senator Barack Obama of Illinois.
On Friday, April 25, Senator John McCain, the presumed GOP nominee took a swipe at Senator Barack Obama of Illinois, one of his two opponents on the Democratic side of things. This attack is part of McCain’s main platform of Iraq with the main tie-in to the national security of the United States. He has once again given the implication that Barack Obama would put the country in danger should he be elected president.
McCain implied that Hamas wants Barack Obama to be the President of the United States. So far, Hamas and the Palestinian Authority are at odds with each other in Gaza and the West Bank. However, only the Palestinian Authority has been recognized as the true power of Palestine. Hamas has been blamed on many mortal attacks against the Israeli population.
In addition, McCain said that he would be the worst nightmare to Hamas if elected President of the United States. McCain then attacked Obama by saying that he is the one candidate that Hamas wants as president. In short, McCain said that voters should choose carefully on who they vote for.
However, the attack was condemned by the Obama campaign. Hari Sevugan, the spokesman for the Obama campaign said that the campaign wants McCain to keep to his word that he wants to continue a campaign that is respectable. Sevugan adds that this type of politics both distracts and divides.
However, the McCain campaign fired back and said that it was a fair and legitimate issue for the American voters for the general elections.
Steve Schmidt, an adviser to McCain said that Hamas wants Obama to win.
