Police in Indianapolis are struttin' there stuff following the discovery of an abandoned pickup truck containing over 1100 pounds of marijuana. The street value of the find is estimated to be close to $1 million dollars.
Indianapolis police state that they had been in hot pursuit of the black pickup truck in the 9000 block of Pendleton Pike at approximately 10:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. No details were released as to why the truck was being chased, but the driver had apparently made a clean getaway.
Then, unbelievably, police found the truck abandoned several hours later in the 3600 block of Black Locust. Following a search of the vehicle authorities discovered a stash of over 1100 pounds of marijuana, neatly stacked in brick form in the trucks bed, covered with a black tarp.
As of yet no charges have been filed. The registered owners of the abandoned truck are being questioned, according to police reports.
Officers are proudly proclaiming victory in the removal of over $1 million dollars worth of street drugs from the Indianapolis area.
The driver of the truck, however, is no doubt running for his life. My guess is you don't just jump ship in the middle of a million dollar drug delivery without suffering some serious consequences down the line. Guido carries a mighty big stick is all I keep thinking.
What a dope.
