Survey: Who is the Most Seductive Woman of All Time?

Their are two news pieces going around which proves the cachet that - Old is Gold. The first, the hurrah over Elvis's photographs dusted and uncovered, and the second, the gasps over Marilyn Monroe's sex tapes going for £750,000. Now, here's a bit of news from Britannia, the land of the stiff upper lip and the prim country gent. According to a British survey, Marilyn Monroe and Angelina Jolie have been named as the 'most seductive women of all time'! According to British women, Marilyn is the blast from the past and Angelina is the living equivalent.

The survey, conducted by fabric conditioner firm Lenor, also reached a conclusion that the 'art of seduction' is losing its takers in Britain. Women, the majority who polled for the survey revealed that though they rated Hollywood celebrities high on the seductive scale, they rated themselves quite poorly. The survey found that the women felt less confident about their powers to bewitch and attract. And it is perhaps symptomatic of the rush here and rush there busy lifestyles led by the modern woman.

Out of the respondents, 51 per cent said that they couldn't remember the last time they felt in the mood for seduction, something they believed is a figment of the movies. Hope is not lost though, as the survey also tried to find out what it would take to make the seduction scale jump towards a higher score. A new dress, compliments from a boyfriend or husband and some beautiful lingerie were some of the remedies suggested. (On second thoughts isn't this the universal panacea for the moody beloved.) Also, almost half felt most seductive while wearing black and 69 per cent said their favorite fragrance made their thoughts turn to love.

The researchers also taking the results of the survey as a blueprint created a computer generated image of the ideal woman in the eyes of a typical British female. Take two parts Kelly Brook, one part Jennifer Lopez and one part Angelina Jolie, mix them up in a computer 'grinder' and you have Angelle L Brook. The simulated ideal woman has Brook's hair and body, Lopez's nose and Jolie’s lips, wearing "the most seductive dress of all time" - Marilyn Monroe's white halter dress from The Seven Year Itch. She is a looker, but I think most of us would prefer the parts to the whole.
