The Internet is one of the most powerful tools the world has ever seen, but for politicians it's a thorn. It holds people accountable, it offers juxtaposition and it burns those who lie. Hillary Clinton is about to enter a world of pain with this video.
Digital Journal -- Produced by the Jed Report and unleashed onto YouTube, this cynical video is presented in a movie-trailer format where clips of Democratic hopeful Hillary Clinton are spliced together.
Dubbed "Bosnia and Back Again," the video is described as:
The story of Senator Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. AMERICAblog declares it is "the most spectacular display of sniper fire since Tuzla." Senator Clinton plays herself in a performance The Field calls "a paid political ad for John McCain."
Senator Clinton's performance was made possible by MasterSitsu, a member of the Daily Kos community who tracked down the footage of Senator Clinton in 1992 and Carthage who tracked down the cookies and tea footage.
Whether you are left-wing, right-wing, independent or undecided, this video digs into Clinton in the worst possible way. In present day, Clinton preaches she has always been against the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) but the video juxtaposes that with her words years back where she said she thinks it's working very well. It also quotes Clinton saying she criticized the war in Iraq before her opponent did, while text on the screen quotes ABC News calling it "False."
No doubt this video is meant to spin Hillary Clinton right off the Democratic wagon, but watch it and let Clinton speak for herself. If you are a voting American or a foreign observer simply interested in American politics, this is one of those Internet gems.
The Jed Report is run by a 34-year-old Las Vegas native. Jed's website bio reads:
I'm a political junky, though I haven't worked in politics since 2004, when I was a senior staffer on the Hill. Now I write, blog, and post the occasional YouTube video.
