Allan Schoenborn has been arrested in Merritt, B.C. for the murder of his three children thus ending a nationwide manhunt.
A local tracker
Kim Robinson is reportedly the one who discovered Schoenborn.
"They have him down on the highway now, last I heard," says Smith. "The bloodhounds got him, just about chewed his arm off. Kim caught him and tied him to a tree."
Allan Schoenborn is accused of killing Kaitlynne, 10, Max, eight, and Cordon, five. Their bodies were discovered by their mother on April 6. The murders took place inside the home.
"At this time we're confirming that Mr. Schoenborn is in custody and he is alive," Const. Tracy Dunsmore of Merritt RCMP told a local radio station
Schoenborn has been on the run since the murders. He had been arrested just days prior to the killings for uttering threats at the children's school. He was released by a justice of the peace on bail who did not have the information that Schoenborn's wife Darcie Clarke had a peace bond that restricted his contact with her.
The case has risen questions when the RCMP did not inform the public to be on the lookout of the slain children's father for 20 hours. That time allowed the prime suspect, Schoenborn to easily get away.
