The original sex film of Marilyn Monroe shot in the 1950s is still held by the FBI in the evidence vaults at their headquarters in Washington D. C. But a copy of this film was recently sold
to a anonymous New York-based businessman.
The FBI held this tape to investigate Monroe and her affair with President John F. Kennedy. She was also investigated to check her connections with mobsters.
J. Edgar Hoover, the FBI director during that period, was trying to prove that Monroe’s sex partner in the film was either John F. Kennedy or Robert F. Kennedy. But he and the FBI couldn’t prove it because the man’s face was hidden in the film.
Memorabilia expert Keya Morgan, who brokered the sale, heard about the illicit copy while researching the life of Monroe.
A retired FBI agent tipped him off about the film and put him in touch with the son of the informant, who kept a copy before he contacted the FBI.
The informant passed the video to his son before he died.
According to Morgan, the 16mm film is 15 minutes long. He saw the film and says the main woman is definitely Marilyn Monroe in it. He told Daily Mail about the film:
You see instantly that it's Marilyn Monroe - she has the famous mole…She's smiling, she's very charming, she's very radiant, but she's known for being radiant.
Morgan said the film was shot before Monroe became popular.
The film buyer and seller have remained anonymous. Morgan said the buyer has no plans to market the tape on the Web and plans to lock the tape. According to Morgan, the buyer said he is not going to sell it, out of respect for the late actress.
The declassified FBI documents call this film “French-type." The documents also states that the “informant exhibited to agents a motion picture which depicted deceased actress Marilyn Monroe committing a perverted act upon an unknown male".
Monroe’s ex-husband and famous New York Yankees baseball star Joe DiMaggio tried to buy the film to make sure it won’t be revealed to the public, but the informant turned him down.
