Our men and women of the American Armed Services have expressed time and time again that they very strongly DEMAND that they be allowed to WIN. Perhaps this is why the defeatists of all political walks of life are so sad.
They strongly desire and lust for defeat so they can win elections and this is indeed a sad state of affairs for this nation.

My favorite information source is Michael Yon and I have been following his work from his very first posting. He has since written a book and just yesterday I received an autographed copy of the book, Moment Of Truth In Iraq, having ordered it when the email was sent out for special advance purchase. I am now nearly half way done with the book having just read SSG David Bellavia's House To House.

Today, Michael Yon has an article in the WSJ Online entitled, Let's 'Surge' Some More.

[...] It is said that generals always fight the last war. But when David Petraeus came to town it was senators - on both sides of the aisle - who battled over the Iraq war of 2004-2006. That war has little in common with the war we are fighting today.

I may well have spent more time embedded with combat units in Iraq than any other journalist alive. I have seen this war - and our part in it - at its brutal worst. And I say the transformation over the last 14 months is little short of miraculous.

The change goes far beyond the statistical decline in casualties or incidents of violence. A young Iraqi translator, wounded in battle and fearing death, asked an American commander to bury his heart in America. Iraqi special forces units took to the streets to track down terrorists who killed American soldiers. The U.S. military is the most respected institution in Iraq, and many Iraqi boys dream of becoming American soldiers. Yes, young Iraqi boys know about "GoArmy.com." [...]

[...] Over the past 15 months, we have proved that we can win this war. We stand now at the moment of truth. Victory - and a democracy in the Arab world - is within our grasp. But it could yet slip away if our leaders remain transfixed by the war we almost lost, rather than focusing on the war we are winning today. [END]

I have been writing and blogging circa 2000 about the defeatists of the once great Democrat Party and the RINOs of the Republican Party and the plethora of anti-Americanist political party wannabes that hide behind "Independent". For the most part, members of the various political parties are decent Americans striving to provide for their families but they don't get the media exposure. Why? Because they do not secretly advocate the overthrow of the United States Constitution and they don't promote an ideology - a philosophy if you will - that will enslave the American People to Big Government...socialism/communism...both very much proven to be failed systems of government.

Along these lines, these same people that advocate the ideals of socialism find themselves face to face with another ideology that preaches and teaches hate..."Radical" Islam. The enemy we face is a rabid scourge which needs to be dealt with; at a minimum, a realization that we will not accept their way of life in place of ours. The United States did not start this war..."Radical" Islam did.

As the successes in Iraq and Afghanistan cannot be rationally ignored and said to be a myth by cowards and losers within the American Political Arena, there are millions of Americans - now the vast majority - that also agree with our Armed Forces in that we must allow them to win this war. Anything shy of Victory is a defeat and defeat to the enemy - this enemy - is unthinkable. I find it curious that the individuals and organizations that promote cut and run and/or defeat will be the first to fall under the sword of Allah...ask any number of the enemy and they will tell you the same.

I agree with Michael Yon and our men and women of the United States Armed Services. Let's 'Surge' Some More and win this thing. Let's have some politicians with some cajones that will rally the nation and bring to life such as never has been seen before - True American Patriotism. We have seen it before and I see America Rising once more. It is time for the Pols to do their jobs.

It is way passed time for the American People to do what our Troops do for us - Embrace The Suck.

    Hell yes, snoot.
Let them win--just as soon as somebody figures out and explains what winning means...

There are just a spattering of people that don't know what win means. So sad to be so uneducated as all that.

You are right, the only ones that have ignored the consistent explanations are those that haven't the objectivity to bother reading those definitions after they have been asked and answered.

Jed and others don't want there to be a definition. That is why they never give their definition, just try to plant seeds that we can'r define it.

To them, their best would be to suffer defeat.
