The most intelligent form of being on planet Earth are human beings. With intelligence comes the job of taking care of the home. As a species human beings aren't doing that great of job with the gift of a home.
We have polluted this planet. Air and water pollution has been the cause of many
fish and animal
species dying in
record numbers.
Beautiful sights along the roadways now serve as a trashcan.
We may say no to littering but by the looks of it that no at times is a well just this once.

Our seas are a dumpster. Because of trash and toxins the
fish that don't die are too
toxic eat.

We wonder why the
birds,
bees,
insects,
bats......take your pick are no longer pollinating our crops. They can't. They are dying as we add more and more chemicals to the landscape.

Our grass at home must be greener than the Joneses. We have to have more and more. We want the best that chemicals can provide.

Then we scream out about the
pollution. We shout to our leaders to have them fix the problems we have created for our children.

We wonder why
Mother Nature has
increased the power of
storms. When confronted with the idea that it could be our own fault naysayers shake their heads and say it's the way of the land.

We flick off our lights for an hour called
EarthHour and pat ourselves on the back.
Somehow it doesn't seem right that those who have created the problem should be proud of an hour.
It's time to stand up and take the blame. Honestly make changes. Teach our children that we were given a gift and the gift must be taken care of.
If not that gift can be taken away.
