Houston-area District Attorney will not pursue charges against the eighth-grader who miscarried on a flight returning from a school trip four days ago. The fetus was found in a trash can by a cleaning crew at the Houston airport.
A Houston report states that the 14-year-old girl, whose name has been withheld due her age, will not be charged with any criminal activity in relation to the dumping of the fetus into the trash can on the Continental Airlines flight returning from New York on March 30, as reported by Digital Journal.
The 14-year-old father of the baby is also free of any charges.
The fetus was found by a cleaning crew after the plane landed at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas.
The young pregnant girl was part of a chaperoned school trip that had traveled to New York. She had told police in an earlier report that she did not know she was pregnant.
The Medical Examiner's report has not released the fetal details to the public, although the report is complete and did state the fetal gender as as boy.
