Sony has unveiled the world’s tiniest digital high definition video camcorder in Tokyo today. It is the world’s smallest as well as the world’s lightest camcorder on the market.
The new Handycam HDR-TG1 will go on sale in Japan this month and will be available in other countries soon after. The camcorder measures 32 x 119 x 63 mm (1.3 x 4.7 x 2.5 inches) and weighs only 300 grams (10.6 ounces).
Though the device is world’s tiniest and world’s lightest high definition camcorder, it carries a hefty price tag of 130,000 Yen ($1,271). Sony products always carry a premium price but also have a range of features you won’t find in other cameras or camcorders.
