Bill Clinton Loses His Temper and Has Someone Else Apologize For him

The stress of his wife's political campaign appears to be getting the better of Bill Clinton. At a private meeting of California's superdelegates last weekend, he seemed to suffer what SFGate is calling a "meltdown", when it was time for a group photo.

It is said he started out with him being his normal charming self when they group moved together for the standard group photo and Rachel Binah, a former Richardson delegate who now supports Hillary Clinton, told him she was "sorry" to have heard that former Clinton campaign manager James Carville, called Bill Richardson a Judas, for deciding to endorse Barack Obama. What she was referring to was Bill Richardsons recent endorsement of Obama and Carvilles reaction when it was announced. Richardson had held two senior positions during Bill Clinton's presidency, energy secretary and ambassador to the United Nations, and the Clintons, especially Bill Clinton has been after Richardson's endorsement for his wife in a very public manner. Therefore when Richardson decided to back Obama, Carville went on to call the Richardson endorsement of Obama an "act of betrayal," and then he went on to compare him with Judas, who sold out Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. On Sunday, after Rachel Binah made that comment to Bill Clinton, he erupted on her, red faced and finger pointing. SFGate describes it as if "someone pulled the pin from a grenade."

"Five times to my face (Richardson) said that he would never do that," a red-faced, finger-pointing Clinton erupted.

The former president then went on a tirade that ran from the media's unfair treatment of Hillary to questions about the fairness of the votes in state caucuses that voted for Obama. It ended with him asking delegates to imagine what the reaction would be if Obama was trailing by just 1 percent and people were telling him to drop out.

He then later took the stage and told everyone to chill out and one delegate says, "We couldn't help but think he was also talking to himself." When Binah got home that evening, she found a message of apology on her answering machine, but not from Bill Clinton. It was from State Party Chairman Art Torres, who said that Bill Clinton wanted him to apologize to her, on Clinton's behalf. News traveled and Pahl Shipley who is Richarson's spokesmen said that Richardson has never, "promised or guaranteed" Bill and Hillary his endorsement." Bill Clinton is known for losing his temper. Two very memorable occasions stand out, one in 2004 with David Dimbleby during a BBC television interview, when he was asked repeatedly about his affair with Monica Lewinsky and another more recent notable occurrence made the rounds on YouTube, in a Fox Interview in 2006, with Chris Wallace.
