In July of 2006, John Cusack was granted a temporary restraining order to keep Emily Leatherman at least least 500 feet away from him. It was granted after presenting the court with papers saying that Leatherman was stalking him.
In the court documents, Cusack stated that Leatherman was, "showing unusual interest by stalking, throwing long letters of interest over my fence in bags with rocks and screwdrivers inside, making unannounced visits to offices of people I work with in an attempt to meet with me and listing my address as her own during a recent arrest."
This past Sunday Leatherman was arrested outside of John Cusack's Malibu home after taking a cab to his house then refusing to pay the driver.
The driver called the police and when they arrived, Cusack flagged them down and informed them about the restraining order, which led to Leatherman's arrested for investigation of stalking, violating a restraining order and petty theft, and was held on a $150,000 bond.
