Cleaners working inside a recently landed Continental Airlines aircraft at Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport were shocked this evening to discover a discarded human fetus in the aircraft's restroom trash.
Continental Flight 433 from New York's LaGuardia airport landed at a bout 4:45 P.M. Sunday afternoon. Passengers exited the aircraft normally and a cleaning crew entered to do normal cleaning.
About an hour into the clean up, a member of the cleaning crew
discovered the fetus inside the trash bin in the aircraft's rest room.
The authorities were contacted and at this time all that is known is that it was not a full term baby, but unknown exactly how far along the fetus was.
It is unknown at this time if an actual crime was committed or if it was the result of a miscarriage or carried on the aircraft. Harris County medical Examiner's will be performing an autopsy to determine the age of the fetus to see if it was "viable."
Houston Homicide and the FBI are investigating this. The FBI is involved because of the likelihood of a possible crime occurring aboard an aircraft.
Agents are obtaining the flight's manifest and no doubt will be contacting everyone that was aboard the Continental flight for reports of anything suspicious.
