article imageOff-Duty Police Officer Robbed While Washing Police Motorcycle

By Nikki Weingartner     Mar 27, 2008 in Crime
A policeman in San Antonio, Tx was robbed at gunpoint by two men while he washed his police motorcycle at a public car-wash. The robbers made off with the policeman's wallet and personal handgun, only after asking if he was a police officer.
As if driving a giant motorcycle adorned with bright red an blue lights weren't enough to provide an answer for two area thieves, the men had to ask the off-duty sheriff's deputy if he was a "lawman" prior to robbing him just before midnight on Monday, March 24, 2008, as reported by a local news station.
The deputy handed the robbers his bag and contacted authorities. He was not injured. The name of the officer was not provided.
The suspects are still at large and face aggravated robbery charges once they are caught.
