That is exactly the situation facing commuters in the Northeast Corridor today as Amtrak has halted all trains traveling from Philadelphia to New York.
Due to an Amtrak power supply problem, all Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line and MidTOWN DIRECT trains subject to 60 minute delays. PATH is cross honoring for passengers boarding at Newark Penn Station and Hoboken Terminal.
According to Amtrak spokesman Cliff Cole, a voltage drain in the Northeast Corridor is the cause for the delays, which have resulted in all Amtrak trains from Philadelphia to New York to be held at stations. Amtrak is currently working to resolve the problem.
