It almost seems like there are days where our government is looking for new and improved ways to screw up. The U.S. government has accidentally shipped fuses used for nukes to Taiwan instead of the helicopter batteries the country requested.
While it may not seem like much of a big deal, it is. The United States Air Force shipped fuses that are used in the production of nuclear weapons. They didn't ship actual nukes to Taiwan, but providing any component that can aid in the production of a weapon of mass destruction is just downright stupid.
Think about the ramifications of their actions here. Once that package is out of our possession, we don't know who is going to have it. We don't know who we might have helped, who we might have armed. Thankfully, Taiwan repeatedly inquired as to why we shipped them the fuses. Not once did they try to attend to this, but multiple times.
This presents a new question though. What else have we shipped to other countries? Has anything else hazardous left our ports?
