Baffled Police in the northern province of Italy have released CCTV footage of a thief who has supposedly taken wads of cash from a unsuspecting supermarket cashier by hypnotising her and several other members of staff
The cool hypnotist has found himself in hot water after he successfully hypnotised a stunned cashier and others in a local supermarket in the last couple of weeks and took much of the cash which was in their registers, according to local Italian police officers.
He was caught on CCTV (a still and video of which you can find
here) telling the cashier to "look into my eyes" before grabbing much of the contents in her register. The then did the same to other cashiers in the store.
The staring robber has also targeted a bank in the same area. Its is thought he has walked calmly away with hundreds of euros.
One female cashier said she must have handed over around $1200 (around 800 euros.)
When the cashier seen her in the still, then looked over the CCTV footage again where she was seen handing over the cash, she said she could not remember anything of the incident.
The man the police are wishing to question over the robbery is said to be of either an Indian or North American descent.
