article imageAutopsy Revealed Three Children Murdered By Their Father Before He Killed Himself

By Nikki Weingartner     Mar 24, 2008 in Crime
Autopsy results show that Eddie Harrington murdered his three young children shortly after he kidnapped them on March 5, 2008 before committing suicide. Their bodies were found on March 19, 2008 after a nationwide manhunt.
After two weeks of hoping, the worst possible scenario was brought to light when a passerby found the tiny bodies of Aliyah and Agana Battle, the 23-month-old twins, and the body of 3-year-old Cedric Harrington,
They were found laying in a row in a secluded wooded area behind a Litho-Krome Industrial Building that was not visible from the road.
A local news report stated that the autopsy report showed that Harrington had shot each child in the head one time before turning the gun on himself. The report also showed that Harrington killed the children and himself shortly after he abducted them, which was in the early morning hours of March 5, 2008.
Information provided by his girlfriend stated Harrington took the children from their home without extra clothing or their safety seats. He also had a history of depression.
Harrington's dad received a letter in the mail two days after the abduction stating he was planning on killing the children.
The abduction launched a nationwide manhunt in hopes of finding the children alive.
Previous Digital Journal reports on March 12 and March 19 maintained coverage of the ongoing situation involving Harrington.
