Jamiel Shaw was a star running back at his High School. The victim was seventeen years old. Jamiel's mother is Army Sgt. Anita Shaw who will return to Iraq to finish her second tour of duty.
Another young man gunned down by another Illegal Invader, Jamiel Shaw's suspected murderer was a known gang banger from the streets of Los Angeles. The suspect in this case, Pedro Espinosa an Illegal Immigrant had been arrested and subsequently released from jail the day before the killing of Jamiel Shaw on a charge of assault.

Police indicated Pedro Espinosa had been in a gang since the age of twelve, being nineteen at the time of the shooting. The conclusion then becomes the length of Mr. Espinosa's stay in this country illegally was a total so far of seven years. The question for the Los Angeles Police then becomes how many times had Mr. Espinosa been arrested or questioned by the police? Mr. Espinosa who was arrested on March 7 is being charged with murder as a gang related crime. The label of gang related makes Mr. Espinosa eligible for the death penalty.

Prior to this arrest Mr. Espinosa had been arrested on firearm charges and obstruction of an officer. either of those arrests should have sent a "Red Flag" to the Immigration Services, unfortunately for Jamiel Shaw, those red flags went unheeded. The only comment so far from Immigration and Customs enforcement spokesperson:
Lori Haley? "The system is not 100% perfect"

I submit the system isn't just not perfect, but is badly broken.
