Baseball is here. China is ready for it. The people are exited about it and the US baseball clubs are preparing for it.
Exhibition games are slated to start this month in Beijing.
Is China ready for pro baseball?. You bet.In fact the San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Dodgers will play the first exhibition baseball game on Mar.15,10pm PT.
The people are really exited about it. Baseball has never been done before in China.
MLB clubs are preparing now. They are scouting and developing players from about 5 cities in China. It is called Operation Playball.
Beginning in the schools the baseclubs will teach the sport among the grassroots population.
Currently there are no professional leagues in China. China has only 4 playing major league baseball now. Two are with the New York Yankees and two with the Seattle Mariners.
So let's play ball.
