A post on an online forum now claims to have first-hand knowledge of the passing of Gary Gygax, known to many of us gamers as the father of Dungeons and Dragons. Many other sites have now picked up the story.

I will update this article as I find out more information, and retract it, should this prove to be some sort of false alarm.

Those of us who grew up playing D&D owe him a debt for one of our favorite childhood games.
