It is now official that Randy Moss will be back and playing for the Patriots. On Monday Randy Moss signed a three-year deal with the Patriots worth over twenty million dollars.
The new England Patriots confirmed the deal shortly after Moss posted a message to his fans on his website. The three-year deal is worth $27 million.
According to Moss's agent, Tim dipiero, the deal includes a $12 million signing bonus and a guarantee of $15 million. The Patriots must think Moss is worth it because the receiver set an NFL record with a record 23 touchdown catches.
It is rumored that Moss could have gotten more but he took less so he could rejoin his teammates and he was very serious about wanting to stay.
New England Patriots coach, Bill Belichick, said that Moss is one of team's most consistent and team-oriented players. He goes on and says that what Moss did for their team last year was outstanding.
On Monday the Patriots also signed free agent receiver Sam Aiken. Aiken has played five seasons with the Buffalo Bills. Belichick says he knows what Aiken is capable of because the two teams have competed many times over the last few years.
