United States Democratic presidential hopeful and frontrunner Barack Obama has won yet another primary, the Democrats Abroad global primary which comprises of Democrats living and/or working abroad in 165 countries across the globe.
The Democrats Abroad global primary makes it Barack Obama’s eleventh straight victory and Hillary Clinton’s eleventh straight loss. Of the at least 22,000 ballots via the internet, mail, and voting in person from across 165 countries around the world, Barack Obama had received 65 percent of the vote. One could ask if the Democrats Abroad global primary does in fact count.
The answer would be: yes.
The Democrats Abroad global primary is set by Democrats Abroad. This is an organization that is sanctioned and supported by the National Democratic Party. In turn, the Democrats Abroad global primary does count as the 11th straight win for US Democratic hopeful Barack Obama.

This really gives Americans an opportunity to participate,” according to the international chair of Democrats Abroad, Christine Schon Marques.
Americans from China to England were able to cast their votes in. It took at least a week to tally up the ballots as they were gathered around the world. On the Republican’s side, they do not have such a contest that could rival it.
The rules of Democrats Abroad do have an interesting twist. A delegate could get a half vote. In a sense, fourteen delegates from Democrats Abroad would have to be sent to the Democratic National Convention.
In April, Democrats Abroad will hold their global convention in Vancouver.
Despite there being only 22,000 people at least, it does say something about Obama if he won the votes from many Democrats abroad.
In the case of the Republicans, they could learn a thing from Democrats Abroad and set up their own organization that does the same thing.
