CBS News blogger Fernando Suarez posts in his “From The Road” blog from Madison, Wisconsin where Hillary Clinton was on board “Hill-Force One” the plane used for her campaign. After a long day, the Democratic hopeful loosened up with a glass of w
To loosen and liven up the mood after a long day of campaigning preparing for the Wisconsin primary, US Democratic presidential hopeful and co-frontrunner Hillary Clinton had spoke to reporters about “Blue Moon” which is her favorite beer. She said that when it comes to ales, Hillary is “bipartisan.”
While taking sips of her glass, Clinton would be going over questions such as fellow US Democratic hopeful and frontrunner Barack Obama such as taking words from Governor Deval Patrick, D-Massachusetts and not crediting him. This has been one of the recent issues in the Democratic races.
If you’re whole candidacy is about words, they should be your own words – that’s what I think,” Clinton said between sips while using this opportunity to take a jab at Obama, who currently has a marginal lead over her.
Clinton would also address the delegate rules set by the Texas Democratic Party which is deemed to be convoluted. “I’ve got people trying to understand it,” Clinton explained in regards to the rules in Texas. Texas and Ohio are deemed as “must win” states for Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
In the case of Clinton enjoying a glass of red wine, this is the first time where the visits to the back of plane look to be off the record. The press wrestled about whether to keep the visits on record or off record.
Now, Clinton has started to speak off record. But she knows not to overstay her welcome in the press cabin of the campaign plane.
