CBS News blogger Fernando Suarez posts in his “From The News” blog from Milwaukee, Wisconsin where US Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton continues to campaign aggressively regardless of the harsh weather.
Like US Democratic presidential hopeful and fellow frontrunner Barack Obama, US Democratic presidential hopeful and also frontrunner Hillary Clinton had a few scheduled events that had to be canceled due to today’s rough weather. Instead of calling it a day, Hillary Clinton would instead make two unscheduled stops.
The first stop took place in the morning at Miss Katie’s Diner. Clinton would shake hands and pose in pictures with the patrons. There was even a photo of her husband former US President Bill Clinton that was hung in the diner’s hallway. She would take the time to admire her husband’s photograph.
After breakfast, Clinton would visit the El Rey Supermarket located in a mostly Latino neighborhood. That was unscheduled stop number two. Clinton still registers well with the Latino vote. She said that she felt like a kid in a candy store when she made her way to the produce section when she saw the hot peppers. Hillary Clinton made it known that she likes hot peppers.
Wisconsin could be considered one of the “must win” states for Hillary Clinton. After Super Tuesday, Clinton’s lead over Obama dwindled. Every other primary and caucus afterwards was won by Obama. In terms of delegates, Obama has a slight lead over Clinton.
