Kate and Gerry McCann, parents of missing Madeline are in talks with a £1million pounds ($2 Million US dollars) deal with two of America's biggest chat show stars. McCanns’ claim they want to use these funds to locate Madeline.
The parents of Madeleine McCann are at the middle of the bidding war between Oprah Winfrey and Barbara Walters. Both the talk show experts are desperate to land an exclusive deal with the McCanns to talk about the missing Madeline McCann. This deal will be the largest amount paid for any interview so far.

The McCanns say they are forced to take this interview after their £1.2million ($2.4 million dollars) “Find Madeleine appeal fund” is expected to run out by June. Both the McCanns are out of work now, so they rely on this fund as well as use it to search their daughter.

But many are already accusing the parents for using the funds intended for her daughter, and this deal will only lead to more accusations. They are also involved in other projects.

The couple's representatives have already met with producers to discuss turning the eight-month investigation into the disappearance into a film and could earn up to another £1million from selling the film and book rights.

They also gave an interview with Vanity Fair and may have got money for that appearance.

Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns spokesman, confirmed this deal with the talk show hosts and expects it will attract huge audiences in the US. But they are not yet decided, whom they will choose among the two hosts.

He denied that they are selling their story to the highest bidder and money is not the sole factor. The couple wants to appear on the show so they can get more exposure to find Madeline.

The couple also is trying to get an Europe-wide alert system for missing children, similar to the US’ Amber Alert system for children.

If they appear in the talk show, they can’t talk or discuss about the case because of Portuguese secrecy laws, so whether this appearance will help find Madeline it will be doubtful in my opinion.

Do you think they are doing this for Money or to find Madeline?
