article imageWoman Takes The Law Into Her Hands And Kills Her Intruder After Months Of Misery

By Michelle Duffy     Jan 21, 2008 in Crime
In this disturbing phone call between an anxious woman, hiding from an intruder in her house and a 911 operator, the call records the woman confronting the man shortly before killing him
The Indiana woman calls 911 before the intruder breaks in to her Hammond townhouse by smashing a window. The call is recorded as the operator, who sends out a police car, stays on the line to comfort the anxious woman, trying to tell her that help is on it's way.
The woman, who knows the intruder as her former lover, had been stalked by the man for some time and for her own protection, had gone out and bought a gun that very day, fearing he would eventually break his way into her house.
The woman, who will not be charged for murder, as she acted in self defence, had complained of the her ex lover for months, but nothing was done about it, despite his repeated attacks on her property costing her an untold amount in criminal damages.
On November the 12th, last year, she made a last desperate call to 911 when she found him in the back yard of her property.
This is the final call which led to the death of the intruder and put an end to the months of misery she had endured.
