An unnamed German diplomat has currently been expelled by Iran. Currently, the name of the German diplomat has not been given out. The spokesman for Iran’s foreign ministry has given no further details.
The unnamed German diplomat is alleged to have been carrying out activities that were “non-diplomatic” according to the foreign ministry spokesman. However, there were no further details given out in the matter.
Germany’s foreign ministry confirmed that the diplomat had left the capital of Iran, Tehran after being ordered out. But, it did not elaborate on the situation, either. It was reported by the German magazine called Der Spiegel last month that an Iranian consular attaché was kicked out of Berlin.
Der Spiegel had said that the attaché had attempted to buy a component that could enrich uranium.
There was no comment on that report by the German foreign minister.
Currently, Germany is one of the three European powers that are in negotiations with Iran over its controversial nuclear program.
