Kumari Fulbright, 25, a beauty pageant queen and law school student who clerked for a federal judge, faces charges that she kidnapped and tortured her 24-year-old ex-boyfriend on December 8.
Fulbright and three men were indicted on December 18 by a Pima County Superior Court grand jury. Charges include aggravated robbery, armed robbery, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and kidnapping

KPHO of Phoenix, the defendant was Miss Pima County in 2005 and Miss Desert Sun in 2006 and also competed for the title of Miss Arizona. The University of Arizona law school student had a prestigious job clerking for U.S. District Judge Raner Collins.
While holding her ex hostage for 10 hours, it's alleged that Fulbright and her accomplices tied him up with plastic ties and duct tape, held him at two Tucson-area homes and stole his cell phone, briefcase and wallet containing between $500 and $600. Ms. Fulbright pointed a pistol at the victim, saying she was going to kill him. She also bit him several times and stuck a butcher knife in his ear.
The hostage escaped when he grabbed the beauty queen's gun, which discharged. He then fled, screaming for help.
