The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Baby Gourmet has issued a warning about two products which may contain peanut protein and are not labeled as doing so, baby Gourmet has issued a voluntary recall.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Baby Gourmet have issued a warning that two Baby Gourmet products may contain peanut protein or sulphites which are not declared on the label.

If you are allergic to either, please avoid these items.


All codes of the following Baby Gourmet products are affected by this alert:

1. Organic Moroccan Lamb with Couscous, sold frozen in a double poly lined bag containing 10 x 25 ml cubes. This product may contain undeclared peanut protein.

2. Seasonal Fruit Compote, sold frozen in a double poly lined bag containing 12 x 25 ml cubes. This product contains undeclared sulphites.

The products were distributed in Calgary. One illness has been reported to date and has been associated with consuming one of these products.


Baby Gourmet has voluntarily recalled the products and the CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
