After 11 years of marriage, Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn, 47, and actress Robin Wright Penn, 41, are divorcing. The divorce was confirmed by Mara Buxbaum, Penn's publicist, but no details were released. The couple have two teenaged children.
Penn was previously married to Madonna, from 1985 to 1989. He won an Academy Award for his role as a grief-stricken father in a 2003 movie,
Mystic River. Wright is known for starring in
The Princess Bridge and
Message in a Bottle. She's also in the
Beowulfmovie, which
opened in November.
