Sarkozy Spends Holidays In Egypt With New Girlfriend

Spending the holidays in Luxor, Egypt, French President Nicolas Sarkozy has been stalked by paparazzi photographers. He had arrived in Egypt with his new girlfriend former model and singer Carla Bruni.

The paparazzi were kept at bay while both Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni arrived in Egypt. The two of them were seen holding hands with each other as they got off the plane and headed towards the luxury hotel in Luxor, Egypt. While there are many photographers taking pictures, security has been very tight. Instead of uniformed guards, there were plainclothes guards. Two journalists were already detained by guards on Monday as they were filming the hotel. Recently in October, Nicolas Sarkozy had divorced from his wife Cecilia. The two of them were married for 11 years. His relationship with Carla Bruni came to light during a trip to the Paris Disneyland in mid-December. Carla Bruni started her singing career after leaving behind the world of fashion modeling. They flew into Egypt on a private jet belonging to French billionaire Vincent Bollaire, who’s a friend of Nicolas Sarkozy. Before flying back to France, Mr. Sarkozy is due to make a formal state visit to Hosni Mubarak, Egypt’s president.
