Missing Dad, 3 Sons Found In California Mountain Range

by Paul Bright.
A man and his 3 children went to a mountain range in order to find that perfect Christmas tree. However they were trapped by horrible weather for 3 days, with more storms approaching.
The Dominguez family has been found after being missing for three days in a northern California forest. Fredrick Dominguez, 38, took his three boys to find a Christmas tree in a mountain area north of Sacramento. The mountain area called Inskip saw two foot of snow and temperatures in the low 20s as the Dominguez family remained missing. Although hope for their survival was thin, they managed to beat the odds. Fredrick and his three sons- Christopher, 18; Alexis, 14; and Joshua, 12- were airlifted to safety and all appear to be in good health.

It is believed that during the trip the Dominguez family went downhill and were ambushed by a snowstorm. It is believed that they weren’t dressed for a long term tree hunt, wearing only sneakers and light jackets.

Details are slim at this moment, but rescuers are thought to have believed that the family found a drainage pipe and sheltered against the horrible weather. According to their grandmother, rescuers found the word “help” carved into the snow and one of the children’s caps. Over 80 searchers from 200 miles away participated in the search that involved elevations between 4,000 and 6,000 feet.

All family members are now being transported to a hospital in Paradise, California, for hypothermia treatment.
