These four recalls include equipment from well known names such as Bowflex, Nordic Track, Reebok and Fitness Quest. From falling on your head and smacking yourself silly to bruises and contusions this list of equipment is truly hazardous to your health.
The first two recalls are for the Nordic Track and Reebok Inversion Benches, you know the type, you hang upside down by your feet with these.

Well these particular ones have been known to have dropped five people unexpectedly and have resulted in injuries such as contusions, lacerations and back pain from the falls when the ankle clamps released on them.

Look under the seats to find the model numbers involved in this recall. The Nordick Track model number is 831.14595.0 and the Reebok bench is model number RBBE1996.0.

Made in China and sold nationwide from September 2006 to January 2007 for about $200, about 22,000 units were affected.

The next product recall in our lineup is the Bowflex® Ultimate 2 Home Gyms system. This one has Bowflex Ultimate 2 printed on the vertical part of the frame and is equipped with pulleys, resistance rods, and other equipment, which allow the user to perform a variety of exercises.

This one has a tendency for the fasteners that secure the rod box to the frame to come loose and it can and has allowed the resistance rods or rod box to separate and smack the user or anyone that happens to be in the vicinity.

So far ten reported cases of the rod box separating have been reported, with three of these reports including injuries such as bruised arms, sore elbows, and a sore back.

These were made in the USA, with the manufacturer being Land America Ltd., of China and sold from June 2005 to August 2007 for around $2,300. About 68,000 units are part of this recall.

Now the final recall on the current list is the Eclipse® 1175e Elliptical Trainers and the manufacturer is Fitness Quest Inc., of Canton, Ohio.

This trainer has 1175e stamped on the side on an oval decal that is located on the side of the wheel housing.

This one has had 190 reports of the cranks breaking with no known injuries. It is being recalled because it could be a fall hazard.

It sold from September 2006 to October 2007 at a price range of $290 to $450 and made in China with about 23,000 units being recalled.
