Mother tells son to carjack

An Oakland mother and son spent quality time together by going on a joy ride in a stolen vehicle. The mother admitted that she encouraged her son to commit the armed carjacking.

The 40 year old mother was arrested and she admitted that she encouraged her 17 year old son to commit and armed carjacking.
Police responded to a call about a man that had just carjacked someone at knife point.
Two officers spotted the vehicle an hour later and began pursuit. Both suspects exited the vehicle and took off while the car rolled into a police car and cause minor damage.
Police eventually caught the 40 year old mother and her son and the mother admitted that she encouraged her son to commit the crime and she actually picked out the car that was too be stolen.
Both the mother and the son have a history of stealing autos and as of now the two are in custody and the mother will be facing charges of armed carjacking, child endangerment and possession of stolen property. The son will be facing charges of armed carjacking.
