A fight on campus spilled into the street in Las Vegas Tuesday afternoon leaving six high school students wounded. Two eighteen year olds that were shot are in serious condition at hospital.
The word on the
street is that the shooting is the result of a schoolyard argument about a girl. As the six who were wounded stepped off of their school bus around 2P.M. Tuesday afternoon shots rang out.
"At the beginning of school there was a fight among three students," said Clark County School police spokesman Ken Young. "Officers quickly broke up that fight and arrested them.
There were two different reports to how many shots were heard. The first was that two of the boys had been shot after 5 to 6 bullets had been fired. The second stated that 10 shoots rang out resulting in the other 4 falling to the ground.
"The original report said that (witnesses) heard four to five shots and saw two children on the ground. Seconds later we got another call that another person heard about 10 gunshots and saw four kids (fall)," Las Vegas Police spokesman Ramon Denby said.
The two assailants are reported to be male. Gang investigators are dealing with the case.
