By Angelique van Engelen     Dec 11, 2007 in Internet
Google Earth spin offs are getting very down to earth, it seems. There's a rumor that today, Google will announce that its Street View application will go live as a website embeddable feature.
Whether the rumor is true remains to be seen. If it will be of any use to you is a second. You'd need to check that your city is included in Street View. Street Maps are increasingly being produced, allowing you to take a peek on the streets of your town. If you live in certain cities, that is.
A total of 23 US cities are now viewable at street level. The latest batch of cities to have been included are Dallas, Detroit, Indianapolis, Fort Worth, Boston, Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Providence.
