NFL star sentenced

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was sentenced on Monday and he is due to serve 23 months in prison. Vick has dodged a five year prison sentence since he admitted what he did was wrong. He also apologied to the NFL and fans.
Michael Vick has been convicted and now he is going to serve sometime in prison. The Atlanta Falcons quarterback will be serving 23 months in prison for his part in dogfights.
He could have been sentence to five years in prison but he admitted that what he did was wrong and he apologized to his family and fans.
Vick said he had finance the dogfighting and he helped kill multiple dogs when they did not perform well in test fights.
Even though Vick gave a lot of money towards the fighting he told the judge that he did not share any of the winnings from the fight.
The case is also causing the football star some financially difficulties. Multiple financial institutions are trying to retrieve money on defaulted loans and the Falcons are also trying to get back $20 million dollars in bonuses that they gave Vick. Vick has also lost many endorsements because of the case.
