A man being detained at Guantanamo bay has admitted he was a driver for Osama Bid Laden and he also had some knowledge of terrorist attacks. His defense is denying that he had any role or knowledge of terrorist attacks.
A man that is being detain at Guantanamo bay has admitted to the FBI that he was a driver for Osama Bin laden after the September 11th terrorist attack. The FBI has said that Salim Ahmed Hamdan was just a minor employee and he had no role in terrorism.
Ahmed also quoted Bin Laden saying that he did not expect such a big amount of victims and he was very pleased with how the attacks went.
Even though Ahmed has no supposed role in terrorism he has helped Bin Laden before by evacuating Bin Laden's compound a little before the 1998 bombings of the U.S embassies in Tanzania and Kenya.
Ahmed has been held at the detention center for six years and he is facing charges of conspiracy and supporting terrorism. Ahmed's defense lawyers stick by their story saying that he was simply a driver for Bin Laden and he had no knowledge or role in any terrorist attacks.
It gets better because in 1996 Ahmed tried to become an Islamic fighter and after he failed he was hired to become Osama Bin Laden's driver. The 37 year old Ahmed was paid a few hundred dollars a month and housing.
