Marie Osmond's second oldest son Michael, 16, is in rehab. No reason has been released as to why he is in rehab. The news was released on a taped show of Larry King that is airing tonight. Michael is one of her 5 adopted children.
Marie Osmond released a statement that said
"My son Michael is an amazing young man, shown through his courage in facing his issues. As his mother, I couldn't be more proud of him," she said in a statement. "The press and public have always been kind and gracious in the past, and I know they will continue to respect our privacy during this time."

Marie and her husband of 20 years, music producer Brian Blosil, divorced in April. She has 8 children in total. Her oldest son Stephen is from her first marriage to Stephen Craig who played basketball for BYU.

Marie has been in the news recently because she is on Dancing with the Stars and the recent death of her father last week.

I hope the press and the public do leave them alone.
Hopefully Michael's time in rehab will help him to get his life together.

She is going through lots of problems yet able to attend all these matters. She is brave.

Living in the public eye,I'm sure she won't get the privacy she deserves. I hope her sons time in rehab lets him put his life back on the right path. He couldn't ask for a more supportive family!

I agree Wolfman. I watched Larry King last night and I do not think she wanted to talk about it much. She seemed shocked that he knew about it. I think personal things like that that involves the kids should be asked in private first if it is ok to bring up on tv.
    That goes for any celebrity.

It's times like this that the press does need to butt their noses out. This family has a right to privacy, despite the fact that they are famous...but they are humans too.
