The price range on these babies was $800 to $900 and even came with your own personal manufacturing defect which could cause a crack in the fuel tank that could cause a fire or possibly an explosion.

Free tank replacement offered.
The Honda HRX217KHXA and HRX217KHMA lawn mowers that have been sold from January 2007 to September 2007 nationwide are indeed being recalled after getting six reports of fuel leaking though no fires or injuries have been reported, thankfully.

Now both of these are walk behind mowers that are dark grey with a red engine cover (see picture) and only the ones with serial numbers from 1400001 through 1453714 are part of this recall. The model and serial number can be found on a label that is located on the upper rear of the decks.

So if you are the proud new owner of one of the approximately 22,000 units that were sold take them in to any Honda lawn and garden dealer and get your fuel tank replaced.

Honda (800) 426-7701 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or see their website for more information.
