After the recent news that Ron Paul raised over $4 Million in one day on the internet, websites began censoring any 'Ron Paul' related posts of any kind. DIGG currently has a ban on 'Ron Paul' posts and now it appears Facebook has banned him as well.
Today,
Techcrunch reported that a search on Facebook for the phrase 'Ron Paul' in Facebook Groups returned zero results. Searching for any other candidate returns hundreds of groups that are either for or against the candidate.
A global search on all of Facebook.com (using the search box in the top left) returns only personal pages that include the words 'Ron' and 'Paul'. Again searching for any other candidates name returns a slew of results. Over 500 groups show up for each of John Edwards, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Mitt Romney and others.
Is Facebook completely banning any group for or against Ron Paul on their website? Is it a glitch? For now, no one knows for sure. I'm sure after the Facebook crew returns from their trip to NY the record will be set straight one way or the other.
Ron Paul's personal page boasts almost 40,000 supporters and it appears that
Ron Paul support groups actually DO exist on the site but it's the search results that have everyone wondering... is Facebook against Ron Paul's candidacy?
