George Osmond, father to Donny and Marie and the Osmond Brothers has died at the age of 90 early Tuesday morning from what is believed to be natural causes. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
George Osmond was a father to 8 boys and one girl. The two oldest boys, Virl and Tom, were born deaf and the seven youngest children, Alan, Wayne, Merill, Jay, Donny, Marie and Jimmy all became performers known as the Osmond Brothers and later as the Osmond Family. He had been married to his wife Olive since 1944. She died at the age of 79 in 2004.

Entertainment Tonight was first to report the death. They heard about the death from Donny. He had been in the studio preparing to tape a segment when he first heard the news.

Marie Osmond is on Dancing with the Stars. The entire Osmond family including over 100 Osmond's in the audience was due to appear on Oprah. The show was to be taped this Thursday and no word yet on if the show will be postponed due to his death.

The Osmond's celebrated their 50th Anniversary in show business in Las Vegas this summer.

A video of Donny talking about his last visit with his father can be found here.

Thank you. I have been stopping in off and on between doctor visits and other stuff. But I am doing well. Thank you for asking.
I have been an Osmond fan since i was 7 years old. Look forward to seeing the family on Oprah on Friday. I think it will be sad in parts.

Hope you are doing well now. It must be tough for them to celebrate 50 years now, but without his dad it won't mean nothing to them.
