article imageElectrochemical Reaction on New Tooth Brush Means You Don't Need Toothpaste

The next generation toothbrush has been launched on the market. It’s called the Soladay toothbrush, after the company that developed it. It's a truly new invention because you no longer need toothpaste.
If you thought that the OralB cross haired toothbrush (invented by Steven Thaler's conscious computer at Imagination Engines) was spectacular, you’d better get with the times. Instead of toothpaste, the Soladay cleans your teeth using a mixture of light and built-in chemical devices.

The most bizarre aspect is no doubt that experts are convinced that it works effectively without the use of toothpaste! How the Soladay pulls this off? In the handle beneath the brush, a little stick made of titanium dioxide is activated through light (in stead of batteries). This causes an electrochemical reaction which releases electrons in your saliva.

As if by magic, the titanium dioxide ‘activated’ saliva in your mouth then removes the plaque from your teeth by ‘solving’ it. Sounds yukky, but scientists confirm that “the Soladay keeps your teeth clean”, Bright reports.

Let's hope it is the case. I am truly worried about the refreshing aspect of the process. What about the lack of mint? Halitosis-o-rama-galore?

For the stingy among us, there's an added consideration to the purchase; if you buy this device, you’ll probably earn your investment back by saving on toothpaste expenses! Happy, filthy, brushing...

Novel idea, would love to test it out if there are no side effects. I use electric brush and mouth wash seems to be doing a good job.

This will revolutionize the toothbrush industry and could make those who do not use toothpaste very happy.
Just remember to NOT store the brush in the bathroom or you could be brushing with other stuff. Now you can say ewe!
