article imageKitchenBug: Ultimate Social Website For Recipes

By malan     Nov 1, 2007 in Internet
KitchenBug launches, providing a social recipe sharing experience, the first site of it's kind. The site allows you to save all your favorite recipes and share them with others in one online community.
Ok, so it seems like there is a new social networking site launching weekly for all sorts of niches that have large audiences and need a community. Doggyspaces.com launched as "MySpace for Dogs" and now has millions of users... really.
Tech Crunch reports that KitchenBug has just launched and offers users the ability to store recipes within the website by just adding the URL of a page. You can also copy and paste text you wrote into your profile and presto! you're a recipe is published worldwide.
A cool feature is that when you write a recipe the site automatically suggests ingredients and links you to Wikipedia for further reference. Of course there are also all of the other key social networking features like tagging, comments, ratings and messaging.
For all you kitchen dwellers out there, KitchenBug may just be the place for you. Imagine, thousands of people sharing millions of recipes... your search is over!
The site is currently in Beta, or as they call it "appetizer release". 1000 invites to the site are being offered by TechCrunch, click here and scroll down to the bottom to claim yours!
