Two men and a woman who stole more than 200 Toronto area fast food restaurants with just a simple cardboard box were finally caught. They stole more than $250,000 Canadian dollars.
The trio were a smart group of thieves, used an oversized cardboard box, which they placed it against the restaurant’s front door. One person hiding in the box used special tools to break into the restaurant, while the other two were on the look out with a police scanner and two way radios.

They were able to remove the whole glass from the door and enter the restaurant. Once inside, they disabled the alarm systems. Even in the worst case scenario when the alarms went off, they usually got away before the police arrived.

They stole about $250,000 Canadian dollars from these 200 restaurants.

Detective Sergeant Reuben Strober of Toronto Police they caught the three when they were investigating an unrelated call in the neighborhood. If that call didn’t happen they would have gotten away and stolen more places. The trio, Gordon Michael Edwards, 27, Jason Richard Phillips, 25, and Donna Hofscheier, 23, face 355 charges.

How did they manage to do this in a crowded city like Toronto? Too bad they could have used this smartness on something good they wouldn’t be in prison and facing a long prison term.

And another three bright lives will go to waste, rotting their brains in jail rather than being employed designing security systems.

Exactly, they don't know how valuable a life is, they will never get another opportunity. And when they do get them, they waste it like this.

Their priorities were all screwed up! If they'd used their ingenuity on doing something positive...
