Motivation to lose weight can be hard to find. You know all the facts, health statistics, family history, etc. and it still doesn't push you. One man is hoping his new website gives you another reason to get healthy.
Ever want to shed a few pounds but just couldn’t get motivated enough to start “on Monday”? What if when you lost a few pounds you were able to feed a few starving mouths for a month? With this new website, it’s possible.
Terry Dunkle, the CEO of Diet Power, Inc.,
has launched DonateYourCalories.com in an effort to raise money and feed children. To start, all you have to do is punch in a few statistics concerning your weight loss. Let’s say you want to lose 20 pounds in 3 months. Based on your height, weight, target weight, target day and grocery spending habits, the program can calculate that you’ll save $X per month in groceries. DonateYourCalories.com will then calculate how many children that can feed on a regular basis. The website also provides a link to feedthechildren.org if you wish to donate that amount there, or you can register your own charities.
"Donating your calories is a quadruple-win proposition," Dunkle says."How else can you improve your health, save hungry children, cut your insurance premiums and build international goodwill without spending an extra dime? Remember, this is money you're already wasting on overeating."
