Digital Journal — The A-list couple known to bring A-list attention to their humanitarian causes are reportedly working on their first joint effort as producers of an upcoming HBO series on aid workers.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will serve as executive producers on the as-yet-untitled series, according to
the L.A. Times. The drama will centre on the lives of aid workers as they travel to hazardous regions of the world to help people living in poverty.
Joining Brangelina on the project is Scott Burns, co-writer of
The Bourne Ultimatum and a producer of
The Inconvenient Truth. The Times reports that Jolie has been interested in this series since her 2003 film on relief workers,
Beyond Borders.
Profiling aid workers isn’t a surprising move for the Hollywood couple. As active humanitarians, they launched the Jolie-Pitt Foundation which supports several international aid organizations, like Doctors Without Borders and Global Action for Children.
