article imageWhat would you do before the end of the world?

A survey posed a question “What would you do in your last 60 minutes?” when an asteroid is on a collision course with the Earth and you have one hour to live. A majority answered they will spend with their loved ones.
The survey was commissioned by Ziji Publishing to market their new release “Cloud Cuckoo Land” by new novelist Steven Sivell. The novel "uses the classic premise of an impending meteorite collision as a metaphor for threats to the human race."
The survey was posed to a number of people and was asked the question “What would you do in your last 60 minutes?”, when an asteroid is about to cause a deadly havoc on Earth and humans has one hour left to live.
A majority of the people, 54 percent of them said they will spend their last hour with their loved ones either in person or call them on the phone, which many can expect. The other responses however were not obvious.
A 13 percent of the responses said they will accept the inevitable and drink a glass of champagne.
About nine percent of them said they will have sex and only three percent said they will pray to God. Another two percent said they will try to eat some junk food and the remaining two percent said they will start looting (but where are they planning to store the stuff?).
This is a good question to pose because it is a likely scenario in the future. Humans are not ready to ward-off an asteroid yet. We will be able to see the asteroids ahead of time, but will have no place to run or hide.
So, if you were asked the same question, what will you do during the last hour? I will be with my loved ones and pray, and just accept it and check DJ comments :)
