Jenna Bush is currently on a book trip
promoting her latest book, “Ana’s Story”, which chronicles 17 year old Ana, an H.I.V. positive single mother in Panama.
During her recent trip, in a Q&A with Jenna Bush
promoted by Time Magazine’s weekly 10 Questions features, one of the readers, Donald Pence, San Francisco, asked her the following question, if the war effort in Iraq is noble, why she and her sister are not serving there for the country?
To which Jenna replied the following:
I understand that point, but there are many ways to serve our country, and I think my skills are better suited for teaching and representing the U.S. in Latin America through unicef. I respect the men and women of our country who are over there fighting. It is an unbelievably selfless thing to do. But if people really thought about it, they would know it's not even a practical question.
The first part sounded like the Teenage beauty contestant’s answer from South Carolina, here she is comparing Iraq to Latin America. She said it is not a practical question, but it is a valid question, she just gave an invalid answer. She may run in the future for presidency just like her father and grandfather, I hope she has better answers by then.
